Marceline recently completed UCL’s MSc Conservation for Archaeology and Museums, where she previously received her MA in Principles of Conservation (Distinction). She was recently awarded the Nigel Williams Prize for her treatment of an archaeological glass vessel and her masters dissertation, titled ‘Encountering the Other: Doris Salcedo and the Ethics of Conserving Contemporary Sites of Memory’, was awarded the Ione Gedye Prize for Archaeological Conservation.

During the 2022-2023 academic year, Marceline served as Conservator-in-Residence at UCL’s Slade School of Fine Art (a role developed through their Material Research Project to promote material-based knowledge) and completed a ten-month placement at Julia Nagle Conservation, where they specialise in the conservation and preservation of modern and contemporary paintings. Prior to her return to university, Marceline was Associate Director at Ocula, a digital platform for contemporary art.

Marceline previously graduated with a BA and honours in History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley and spent two terms interning at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Artist Initiative funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Her current research centres on knowledge-sharing in conservation, particularly within arts education.
